An appearance on NPR's All Things Considered, taped on June 27, 1996 and broadcast on July 4.[1] The band's lineup included John Flansburgh, Steve Calhoon, Eric Schermerhorn and Dan Levine.
This performance of "Distant Antenna" featured host Robert Siegel on vocals and was released through TMBG's Instant Fan Club in 2019 and 2024. The band's performance of the All Things Considered theme song was not broadcast but was released on TMBG Unlimited - October.
